About us
Technology is the work. Partnership is how we do it.
TheCodeV is the UK company of Emporionsoft, a software house founded in 2020. You contract with us in Preston; the work is done by Emporionsoft's own salaried engineers, with no subcontractors in between. We get close to the problem, say plainly what we think, and judge ourselves by whether the product works.
Empower businesses through technology that fits them.
We build custom software shaped around the way a company already works, rather than asking the company to reshape itself around the software. That is where most digital products are won or lost.
We value people above all else, whether they are clients, product users, or engineering teammates. This people-first approach drives our commitment to technical precision and operational excellence.

A partner companies anywhere can hire with total confidence.
We want to be the team a business calls regardless of where it is based, because the software stands on its own. That is a higher bar than being the biggest name in one city, and it is the standard we hold ourselves to every day.
We work with AI, modern cloud architectures, and scalable data layers where those technologies genuinely solve business problems, and we are straightforward about when simpler tools are more effective.

Above all, we are the people who make things happen.
Cross-functional product squads built to ship with high velocity and zero hand-off friction.
Developers
Web, mobile, and backend engineers who write clean, test-driven code that scales under real production workloads.
Designers
UX researchers and interface designers creating coherent design systems and user flows ready for implementation.
QA Engineers
Automated test engineers running regression, performance, and security testing alongside sprints rather than after.
Consultants
Technical architects and delivery leads providing honest scoping and strategic direction on what to build first.
Principles
Five things we hold to.
Think before building
The most expensive code is code you didn't need to write. We challenge scope, validate assumptions, and design the minimal thing that solves the actual problem.
Make complexity understandable
Complex systems are inevitable. Confusing ones are a design failure. We work until the architecture makes sense, the UI is obvious, and the team understands what was built.
Engineer for change
Products evolve. Requirements change. Technology moves. We build systems that can absorb change without breaking: tested, decoupled, and documented enough to hand over.
Communicate clearly
Good work delivered quietly is still good work. But we over-invest in communication because most project problems are information problems. You always know where things stand.
Own the outcome
We measure ourselves by whether the product succeeds, not whether we completed the tasks. When something isn't working, we say so. When we made a mistake, we fix it.
